James J. Skeffington, Jr.

Jim Skeffington, Jr. is President of Red Beam Partners, LLC. Prior to joining RBP, Jim led the Strategy and Corporate Development team at CVS Health Corporation.  For nearly ten years, Jim actively managed corporate development efforts to support CVS’s enterprise-wide growth.

Prior to CVS, Jim was a corporate attorney at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC in Boston, MA.  As an attorney, Jim represented life sciences and other technology companies as well as venture capital and private equity funds.  He regularly counseled Boards of Directors and General Partners on corporate governance matters and guided their businesses through all stages of development.

Jim received his B.A. from Boston College, an M.Litt from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.  Jim is admitted to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Jim serves on the Board of Trustees of the Providence Country Day School and previously served as a Trustee of Boston Children’s Hospital.  Jim is a Limited Partner of the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Triple A minor league baseball affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.  Jim and his wife, Renee, reside in Chestnut Hill, MA with their three young children.
